Arlington VA Cosmetic Dentistry:

Teeth Whitening- There are many reasons for discolored teeth. In our Arlington, VA office, we use the most advanced tooth whitening process available. Our new, Opalescence Xtra In-Office Power Bleach System is a revolutionary teeth whitening procedure. In about an hour, your teeth will turn dramatically whiter. The convenience of Opalescence Xtra in comparison to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening procedures make it the perfect choice for the busy individual. The teeth whitening process is simple and painless. With proper care and occasional touch-ups at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for years.

Composites (tooth colored fillings)- Composites are fillings that are metal-free and are designed to match the color of your teeth. They are used for both front and back teeth to treat decay, repair chipped teeth, close gaps between teeth and protect exposed root surfaces.

Bondings- The term “bonding” describes the application of composite (tooth-colored) filling materials to the teeth. Composite resin and bonding agents are applied to exposed root surfaces to help prevent decay and to protect against tooth sensitivity.

Porcelain Dental Veneers- A “veneer” is a thin porcelain restoration that is bonded to the outer layer to improve the shade, color, size and/or shape of the tooth. Dental veneers will never discolor or stain and can provide a long-lasting enhancement to your smile.

Crowns, Bridges, Inlays and Onlays- They can be made of porcelain, gold, or porcelain-fused-to-metal. By covering a weakened, cracked, or broken tooth, they can make your tooth stronger and enhance its chewing function. These restorations can be used to fill in unsightly gaps and be made to mimic existing teeth to enhance your smile.

Dental Implants- Missing teeth can be replaced with dental implants, that like our natural teeth, is secured into the jawbone. Successful dental implants become firmly embedded in the jaw, thus allowing normal chewing function, speech and natural esthetics. They are as close as we can get to having a new natural tooth.

Non-Surgical Gum Treatment- Periodontitis (gum disease) is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults. It is very important for your gums to be checked and treated for gum disease. Scaling, root planning, and the application of antibiotics removes tartar and bacteria, thereby slowing the progression of periodontitis and ultimately tooth loss.

Life-Like Dentures- Whether filling in a few spaces or a complete arch, partial or complete dentures can be made to replace missing teeth and to provide better chewing function and appearance.

Sealants- Sealants are a protective resin coating placed in deep grooves and fissures to help protect against tooth decay.

Occlusal Guards/Mouth Guards- Occlusal and mouth guards are fabricated and custom fitted for each individual to protect against bruxism, grinding, and sports injuries. They protect against damage to your existing teeth or dental work and can help provide relief from temperomandibular joint (TMJ) discomfort.

Invisalign- Invisalign is a new way of straightening teeth without the use of braces. A series of undetectable clear retainers are used to gradually move teeth into their desired position without the hassle and appearance of brackets and wires.
